WAPLAC Workshop # 3 – Ciudad de México

We are delighted to invite researchers to submit papers for the 3rd international workshop of the network on Welfare & Policy in Latin America and the Caribbean (WAPLAC), which will take place at Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM), 20-21 October 2026. The workshop aims to take stock of recent research on fiscal and welfare policies, inequality, well-being, labor market dynamics, support for democracy, and other social outcomes in LAC.
Keynote speaker: Raymundo Campos-Vázques (COLMEX) and Gabriel Yorio (Inter American Development Bank)

Submission guideline: A full paper (preferred) or an extended abstract must be submitted before 30 June 2026 to h.x.jara-tamayo@lse.ac.uk and david.rivera-gonzalez@u-bordeaux.fr (The name of the PDF should begin with the corresponding author’s last name). We also encourage submissions of complete sessions (4 papers), indicating the name of the corresponding chairperson.
