Carlos Uribe-Terán
Carlos Uribe-Terán holds a PhD in Economics from Queen Mary University of London (United Kingdom). He has a Master's degree in Economics and Finance from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Spain) and a Master's degree in Development Economics from the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (Flacso, Ecuador). He earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador. Currently, he serves as a professor at the College of Economics at Universidad San Francisco de Quito (Ecuador). His research focuses on understanding the dynamics of the labor market, international trade, pension systems, tax systems, and economic cycles in emerging countries. He has published in the "Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control" and the "Journal of Economics and Finance". He has worked as a consultant for multilateral organizations, such as the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF), and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO International).
