Margarita is Assistant Professor at International University of Ecuador (UIDE). She holds a Ph.D. in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Alcalá. She is also leader of the National Transfer Accounts (NTA) research team for Ecuador. Her research areas are macroeconomics, pension economics, labor market, public policy, and consumption behavior. Her professional background as leader of important process is related to government institutions such as National Institute of Statistics and Censuses; National Institute of Educational Evaluation; National Development Bank, Bank of the Social Security, among others.
