Maria Cecilia Deza is a Senior Economist in the Central America Department (CID) at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) in Washington, DC, where she held other positions since 2012. Previously, she worked as Senior Economist in the Research Department at BBVA Bank in Peru, and as economic analyst at the Ministry of Economy and Finance in Peru. Maria Cecilia holds a Masters in Applied Economics from University of Maryland, College Park and a Master’s in Public Administration from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs. She also holds a certification in Statistics and Data Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
