Mateo is a postdoctoral researcher at University College London (UCL). He pursued hisPhD in Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Antwerp in Belgium, where he also earned his Master's Degree in Applied Economics. Additionally, he holds a Master's in Research in Economics from Université Libre de Bruxelles. His research interests lie in the fields of applied microeconomics, with a focus on artificial intelligence, economic policy, and the measurement of well-being. His most recent research employs machine learning to understand complex problems in human behavior and social policy.
