Noelia Bernal Lobato

Associate professor of the Department of Economics at the Universidad del Pacífico. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics and a Master in Economics and Financing of Aging, both from Tilburg University, and a Bachelor in Economics from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Perú PUCP. Her research areas are health economics, pension economics, labor and public economics. She focuses on topics such as the impact of social health insurance among informal workers, the effects of social pensions on health outcomes of the poor, the relationship between informal labor markets and financial and pension saving using experiments and behavioral economics, among others. She has publications in international journals and has experience as a consultant for the IADB, ECLAC and advising governments of Peru and countries in Latin America and the Caribbean on pension and labor issues.
