Pablo Garcés-Velástegui

Pablo Garcés-Velástegui is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of Sociology and Political Science at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. His research interests turn around welfare and freedom, sustainability, and social justice. He has been a faculty member at several universities and Dean of the School of International Relations at the Instituto de Altos Estudios Nacionales of Ecuador. He has also been a public servant, most recently he has served as: Senior Advisor to a National Member of Ecuador’s Parliament, and Senior Advisor to the Chief of Staff of the Presidency of Ecuador. Pablo holds a Master of Arts in International Relations from Bremen University and Jacobs University Bremen, a Master of Public Policy from the Hertie School of Governance, a Master of Public Administration from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a PhD in Local Development and International Cooperation from the University of Valencia, Polytechnic University of Valencia, and University Jaume I.
