Valentina Contreras

London School of Economics - International Inequalities Institute

Valentina is a Research Officer at the International Inequalities Institute at the London School of Economics. In her research, she uses econometric tools to understand the causes and consequences of gender and educational Inequalities. Furthermore, she coordinates The Latin American and Caribbean inequality review, a project that has brought together dozens of scholars to present a cohesive and complete account of the region’s inequality problem.

Valentina holds a PhD from the London School of Economics and Political Science, an MRes in Economics from the University College of London, and an MSc and Bsc from Universidad de Chile
