
Vera Chiodi
Vera Chiodi is a Professor of Economics at the Institut des Hautes Études de l’Amérique Latine (IHEAL), Sorbonne Nouvelle University, Paris, and a Researcher at the Centre de Recherche et de Documentation sur les Amériques (CREDA). She is also a Professor of Economics at Sciences Po Paris. She earned her Ph.D. in Economics from the Paris School of Economics and was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL).
Her research interests include the economics of education, labor economics, impact evaluation of public programs, and the analysis of the long-term effects of historical events.
She has published articles (in journals such as Journal of Development Effectiveness, Labour, Journal of Development Studies and Journal of International Development) and her latest book is Chiodi, Vera, and Philippe Roman.
