WAPLAC Workshop # 2 – Quito

We are delighted to invite researchers to submit papers for the 2nd international workshop of the network on Welfare & Policy in Latin America and the Caribbean (WAPLAC), which will take place at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador in Quito on 18-19 December 2025.
The workshop aims to take stock of recent research on fiscal and welfare policies, inequality, wellbeing, labor market dynamics, mobility, support for democracy, and other social outcomes in LAC.

Submission guideline: A full paper or an extended abstract must be submitted before 30 June 2025 to h.x.jara-tamayo@lse.ac.uk and david.rivera-gonzalez@u-bordeaux.fr (The name of the pdf should begin with the corresponding authors’ last name). We also encourage submissions of complete sessions (4 papers) indicating the name of the corresponding chairperson.
Keynote speaker: Adriana Camacho (CAF- Banco de Desarollo de América Latina y el Caribe)
Decisions will be communicated by 30 July and registrations will be open until 1 September. There are no registration fees.
